Helping businesses build the IT teams of the future

When the Bank of England needed a smooth, cost-effective means of procuring new talent, our Novus Future Talent development programme provided the perfect solution. 

The challenge 

Attaining the right talent at the right time – and in the most effective way – is a huge challenge for every organisation. The Bank of England were facing such a challenge head-on.

They presented us with a straightforward – but multifaceted – challenge: to place the Bank of England at the forefront of the early careers space by recruiting, training, and deploying new talent within the organisation.



Our solution

To begin with, we set about understanding everything we could about the Bank of England and their needs – from the precise roles and skillsets required to aid their digital transformation, to mapping out an approach that would prove as efficient as it was effective.

As well as having to find the right talent that would align with the Bank of England’s processes, culture, and ways of working, we needed to find Software Testers of varying seniority who could quickly acclimatise to a transforming organisation, hit the ground running, and make an immediate impact.

After conducting thorough and extensive research into the Bank’s needs, we created a bespoke solution that directly addressed them; one that entailed recruiting, training and upskilling the new talent brought into the organisation, with a view to retain them through the digital transformation period and beyond, and, ideally, to create their very own talent pipeline.

We recruited and deployed a team of both junior and senior Software Testers, providing a perfect mix of emerging and experienced talent. This proved an extremely effective short- and long-term solution, with exceptionally talented junior Software Testers being supervised, supported and trained by more experienced, senior Testers, who worked onsite at the Bank of England to ease their transition, and ensure the Bank’s needs were always being met.

We helped the Bank of England realise:
  • The successful deployment of 13 Software Testers and 2 Test Leads into the wider Testing team. 
  • A significant cost saving as our solution enabled the Bank of England to gain access to skills in an efficient and timely manner.
  • An agile and cost-effective team that can be scaled to the Bank of England’s needs.
