What is it?

It remains a statutory responsibility for at least one person on each appointment panel to have undertaken Safer Recruitment Training. Whilst there is no formal requirement to update this training, we recognise that things do change and we are therefore offering a refresher session.

This refresher training assists schools to meet their statutory requirements for safer recruitment. The course is delivered by trainer accredited with the National Safer Recruitment Consortium.

Who is it for?

This refresher training is intended for delegates involved in recruitment who have previously undertaken the one day Safer Recruitment Training Course, and aims to refresh their knowledge and ensure their policy and prac-tice remains up to date.

What will the sessions cover?
• The legal requirements relating to safer recruitment in education settings
• The features of offender behaviour
• Grooming strategies
• Using different stages of the recruitment processes to deter unsafe staff/volunteers
