Helping businesses implement an end-to-end solution to fulfil their recruitment needs

When Social Security Scotland was looking for a partner to provide attraction strategies, assessment testing, validation, and administration support for the recruitment of over 2,000 new employees, Modular People Solutions’ Agile RPO proposal fulfilled their needs. 

The challenge

Scottish Ministers required administration and assessment support for the recruitment of 2,500 full-time equivalents over 18-24 months. As well as managing the administration of recruitment and ensuring the process was inclusive and accessible, the chosen service provider had to ensure that bespoke tests reflected our client’s requirements, culture, and values.

Our integrated solution enabled us to target the right applicants, assess them fairly and compliantly and move them swiftly through the process, using a combination of best-in-class technology alongside our own experts in attraction, assessment, and recruitment programme management.


Our solution

Over the course of 12 weeks, Modular People Solutions designed, built, and integrated our attraction technology into our client’s website, alongside an applicant tracking system (ATS). We also configured a suite of integrated digital products via the Recruitment Engine (RE), and deployed an end-to-end and integrated attraction, application and assessment cycle with no candidate management, and minimal stakeholder management with the client.

As well as using adverse impact analysis – an evidence-based situational judgement test (SJT) review to remove barriers and recommend changes to assessment criteria – to ensure all groups are represented fairly, all candidates received automated feedback on their strengths and developmental areas upon completion of the SJT. Continuous candidate feedback loops throughout the process also checked how the process was received.
